2023 Travels
Last year was full of travels! I believe traveling is one of the best ways grow and learn about other cultures. As a Global Studies major, exploring internationally is by far my favorite form of roaming.
Ian and I set out for Asia in February of 2023 for a yoga retreat in Bali. We stayed at Soulshine in Ubud and it was absolute bliss. From there, we had a slip up with our visas and ended up spending a few days in Malaysia. Port Dickson, a tiny town by the beach, was our first stop and then we decided to go inland to Kuala Lumpur. What a melting pot with a unique mix of cultures and cuisines— we spent Valentine’s Day at an Irish pub and Spanish restaurant! Finally, the last stop of our trip was Vietnam. Because of the visa mishap, we were only able to visit Hội An, which was nothing short of magical. We originally planned on ending our trip in Hanoi, but travels are always full of surprises.
Later in the year, we wandered domestically. We went on a road trip to NorCal and Oregon, and I went to New York for more than a layover! We plan on visiting Spain later this year, and I cannot contain my excitement. More to come— stay tuned!! Xx
