A Perfect LA Day
I had the absolute best day last Sunday! It was sunny and beautiful out, and I enjoyed all the greatest parts about living in Los Angeles.
The day started off with a date with my love. We went to the Huntington Library & Gardens— I share a year pass with my mom so we get to go whenever we want! This time, we explored the Japanese and Rose Gardens for a couple of hours. But first, bagels from Maury’s in Silver Lake!! I was too hungry to take a photo, but I always get the Triple Pickle bagel with lox. It has capers, pickled onion, dill cucumber, and cream cheese. Soooo good. After perusing the gardens for a bit, we finished our visit with affogatos to cool off and reenergize for the rest of the day.
Next we went to see the Dodgers play against the Mets. They won 10-0 and it was epic!! We scored some field seats from a family connection. Of course we got some spicy margaritas, and on the way there we stopped at a food truck for pupusas. We are walking distance from the baseball stadium, and there are plenty of good food stops at Elysian Park along the way.
Finally, my day concluded with dinner at Oste in West Hollywood. I met a good friend from college there to catch up on life and indulge in some Italian cuisine. We shared the squash blossoms, funghi pizza, and cacio e pepe pasta. Topped off with a sunset strawberry spritz, and my day was complete.
