Power, Peace, Prosperity

These are my words for the year 2024. As I mentioned, I love alliterations.

When I think of power, I think of being in my power— making decisions from a place of self worth. Power to me means self agency, accepting my role as the creator of my life. With that comes great responsibility and a willingness to surrender. I can only control so much, the rest is up to the Universe. At the same time, I have the power to make change in my life if only I am willing to take one step in the direction of my desires.

Peace is a seemingly obvious concept and one that I would like to be more grounded in. No matter what comes my way, I want to understand my truth as a state of internal peace. I tend to get caught up in the external world and all of its chaos since I am technically human. I am also made of pure love and can tap into my hear at any given moment with the deep wisdom that I will always be taken care of.

Prosperity is nuanced as it has both hints of gratitude and voracity. I want more and I have so much that I am grateful for. Prosperity is a state of being, no matter the money had in the bank. I can still feel prosperous at any given moment, and that will only get me closer to my definition of material success.

In addition to my 3 words of the year, I resolve to:

• Learn how to make tamales

• Thrift shop more often than buying new

• Home edit my apartment

• Watch less TV

Although it’s only January, this year feels like it’s going to be a good one.
